This week, the fourth grade class earned the first of three pizza party awards by raising a total of $495.00.
Bike-a-Thon Volunteers Needed
We are looking for a handful of volunteers to help us count bike laps during the Bike-a-Thon on Friday, Oct. 1st. Volunteers are needed from 12:00-2:00pm.
Please call or email the office or contact your child’s teacher to let us know if you can help.
Camp Forest Springs is this Week!
Our 5th-8th graders are heading to Camp Forest Springs in Wisconsin for a fall retreat and nature study this Wednesday-Friday. Please pray they will have a great time connecting and team building, and pray for our safe travels.
We are thankful to the parent volunteers who will be assisting the teachers as chaperones: Mr. Ramirez, Mr. Cross, and Mrs. Buck.
Student Council Elections
The upper grades have elected officers for their student council.
President: Rena Donahue
Vice President: Ashton Truchon
Treasurer: Lex Korpi
Secretary: Levi Molitor.
The student council will be working to serve the whole school in events and special activities. They also assist the staff in helpful service such as setting up tables in the lunchroom and other hands-on tasks.
2021-2022 Theme: Pursue
This month in chapel, we are focusing on PURSUING CONNECTION.
Awards will be given for students who seem to be pursuing connection with their NCS community.
In Friday’s chapel, we had a great time of gathering in worship together. We also had a great time with the Bible Challenge, where the kindergartners won the challenge over their first grade opponents. Congratulations kindergarten!
Morning Drop Off Update
Thank you, parents, for waiting to drop your students off until after 7:30am. It has already helped us a great deal.
Face Coverings for Busing Students
Northside has received an email from the District #11 Transportation Safety Coordinator stating that all students riding the bus must now wear a face covering (mask) at all times while on the bus. If a student doesn’t comply, they will not be admitted onto the bus. We are grateful for your willingness to adapt to this new rule.
