In the Loop
The Fun-Raiser is in Full Swing!
Thanks to your participation, we raised about $1,200 at the Fun-Raiser Pizza and Bingo night kickoff last Monday!
The final turn in for Kettle River Pizzas is already next Monday, January 24th. Get out there and sell some pizzas to help us expand our classrooms next year!
Prizes for awesome sales will be rewarded as follows:
- Highest classroom sales – pizza and dessert party
- Top five individual sales- $25 gift cards
- Reach $5,000 total sales as a school – the whole school will have an afternoon “No Day” party (it’s like a snow day, but in school!)
High School Update
Students in grades 5-8 were given a written notice earlier this week summarizing the future plans related to expanding Northside to include high school. Please ask your student to give you this very important communication.
End of Quarter 2
Today marked the end of the 2nd quarter. Grades will be posted by Wednesday, January 26 and hard copies will go home with students on Friday, January 28.
Registration for the 2022-23 school year for current families will open up on February 1st. General enrollment will open up to the public on February 19th, so it’s important to enroll prior to that date to guarantee your slot.
More information will come next week.
No School Reminder
School will not be in session on Monday, Feb. 21 as we honor President’s Day, or on Tuesday, February 22nd as we hold Parent/Teacher Conferences.
Save the Date
Parent/Teacher Conferences will be on Tuesday, February 22nd. A sign up link will be provided in a future Loop.
Sledding Recesses Have Begun!
Every chance they get, our elementary students spend their recesses on the sledding hill. Please be sure your student brings their warmest coat, hat, mittens, snowpants and boots to school each day so they’re ready to hit the hill… and feel free to send sleds too!
School Spirit Week
Mark your calendars for School Spirit Week February 14-18. This will be a fun-packed week of activities and events with a sprinkle of silliness. More details to come!
Thank you for keeping the office updated on your family’s health issues. Your prompt communication helps keep our school as healthy as it can be, and keeps us in sync regarding your student’s academics until they’re healthy enough to return to school.
In December, the CDC announced that they are shortening the recommended time for isolation/quarantine for COVID-19 for the general public. They now recommend that people with Covid should isolate for 5 days followed by 5 days of wearing a mask when around others to minimize the risk of infecting people they encounter. Learn more about this change on the CDC’s website.
