Vee received her BA from Augustana College (Sioux Falls, SD). She has a double major in Elementary Education and Special Education. Vee started her teaching career in special education in Dubuque, Iowa, and has been teaching at Northside since 1997. She has also taught at Good Shepherd Christian Academy in River Falls, Wisconsin and has taught special education during the summers in Andover, MN.
Vee enjoys teaching children academics from a Christian perspective. She enjoys the atmosphere where teachers and students share their Christian faith as they talk through daily joys and struggles. Vee’s goal is to create and nurture a safe classroom environment. All students should feel comfortable even when they make mistakes. They expect to be respected and encouraged. Students learn patience and receive grace as they regularly help and serve each other. One scripture that God has always proven faithful in Vee’s life and ministry is Romans 8:28: "He does always work all things (our successes, our failures, our joys, our struggles…) together for good, as we love Him and are called according to His purposes."
Vee is a wife, a mother, and a grandmother. She has enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, reading and taking care of pets, but she takes special joy in spending time with her grandchildren.
