Lisa graduated from Bethel University with a BA in Elementary Education. She is currently licensed by the state of Minnesota and holds an ACSI certification.
Lisa began her teaching career at Meadow Creek Christian School in 1984. This faith-based setting ignited a passion for education centered around Christ. Lisa considers it a privilege to pour Biblical truths into her student’s lives and loves to see their love for God and one another blossom. Above all, she desires them to know they are a valued creation of the King.
With 17 years in the classroom and 10 years of private instruction under her belt, Lisa creates a safe educational environment where students are expected to treat others with kindness and respect. Emphasizing the importance of Multiple Intelligence education, she encourages her students to bring their own learning style and gifts into the classroom community. Her goal is for this community of active learners to exemplify the Body of Christ.
Outside the classroom, Lisa’s life is enriched by her husband, two daughters, son-in-law, and Yorkshire terriers. In her free time, she enjoys a life full of exercise, reading, listening to music, attending sporting events, and time spent with friends and family.
