Beth graduated from college with a degree in Elementary Education and a certification in Coaching. She has been certified under ACSI and keeps current licensure under the state of Minnesota.
Beth is passionate about bringing an excellent environment to the classrooms at Northside. Her three subject areas reflect her favorite things to teach - Language Arts, American History, and Bible. Beth is thankful she can bring a Christian Worldview into each of these subjects, as well as into all the concepts that are taught and demonstrated at Northside.
In addition to teaching middle and high school, Beth has been the Drama Director at Northside for the last fifteen years, which perfectly fits her love for the arts and music. Seeing the individual students' gifts and talents shine as they are challenged with creative assignments is a joy for Beth.
Beth has always appreciated the school experience and the community that emerges as a result of excellent programming. Her various leadership roles as a student, classroom teacher, lead coordinator of events, church Bible study leader, as well as church nominating committee lead, has prepared her to take on her newest role at Northside: School Principal.
Beth is a lover of most sports and continues to cheer the Minnesota Vikings through every season. She plays tennis and golf as often as she can. As a piano player, she continues to teach private lessons to a few students and leads worship when the opportunity arises. She has been married to her "rock" Kevin since 1986. They have a daughter, Kayla, and a son, Kole.
Beth enjoys her church family and loves to spend time digging into the Word of God and reading authors who challenge her faith. She can't wait to see where the Holy Spirit leads her next!
