7th-12th Grade Math & Real Life Teacher
Kenn McLeod is a businessman and S.T.E.M. teacher who loves working with students. Ken has been running a successful small business for five years called Bricks at Work, and utilizes his own curriculum of LEGO-based engineering and design in order to teach students of all ages S.T.E.M. principals. Kenn is excited to be joining Northside to further teach mathematics and physical sciences.
Kenn is extremely passionate about teaching others, especially those with an appetite to learn! His personal interest in engineering and practical applications of math and science lend a fresh approach to learning that focuses both on theory and application. He believes that experience is an excellent teacher, and focuses on embracing each student's learning style to best educate them.
His personal interests include LEGO work of various types, such as machinery design or scenic photography. Kenn also enjoys both "retro" and modern technologies, and loves teaching others the transformation of technology through the ages, specifically focusing on the transformation of media such as cameras and video games.
Throughout high school and much of college, Kenn was a counselor and audio/visual technician at Camp Lebanon in Upsala, MN. It was these summers that equipped him with the skills and interest to work with students. While practicing that in Bricks at Work after-school classes, Kenn continues to teach and lead students through activities and learning.
